Ægis is a playing card project focusing on mythologies from the silk road. Everything started with the idea to expand the named suits to other cultures, and through researches on the medium and its travels around the globe and place in cultural exchanges, this direction was chosen.
Research included discussions with Issy Playing cards museum curator, researches and collection of tales and myths on the Grand Est territory, and public workshops on card games, such as Mondomonstre, at Moyeuvre-Grande.
Such a long term project was made possible through funding by the Région Grand Est, diverse residency programs where workshops and research entwined, such as les Ateliers Médicis Création en Cours, and a Kickstarter. Many thanks to all sponsors for allowing this project to come true!

Prototype was crafted for East Game's les Chimérides residency program as a team project with programmer Lisa Hersant. Game design and interactions were designed collectively, then work was split: Lisa built the game architecture and realized the 3d Modelling while we focused on art direction and story.
The program took place in Strasbourg, at Les Ateliers Éclairés, where access to a fablab allowed us to do 3D printing and laser cutting & engraving.
